Lucy Nyoike is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, climate action advocacy, and programme management. Her experience spans senior level roles at leading global development and philanthropic institutions.

Lucy has held positions at the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP), The Rockefeller Foundation, the Africa Climate Summit Secretariat, and the Africa Energy Summit Secretariat. She served as Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Lead for the Africa Climate Summit under the Government of Kenya, and most recently as Assistant Director in the CEO's Office at FSD Africa.

At FSD Africa, Lucy drove the execution of the organisation's five year strategy, managed governance processes including board engagement, and actively cultivated strategic partnerships with governments, development finance institutions, and private sector entities.

She holds a Master of Science in Management and Organisational Development from the United States International University and a Bachelor's degree in Information Science from Kenyatta University.

Zecharia Mwangi is a carbon markets specialist with hands on experience across Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) project development, digital MRV systems, and emerging carbon pathways in Africa. He brings practical knowledge of how voluntary carbon markets operate on the ground in African contexts.

At Verst Carbon, Zecharia worked as a Carbon Markets Associate focused on CDR and Energy, contributing to the development and structuring of projects including biochar and Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW). He has engaged with leading registries including Puro.earth and navigated the technical and regulatory requirements of carbon project development across the continent.

Zecharia has articulated why Africa, with its geological resources, degraded soils, and agricultural base, is structurally positioned to lead in high integrity carbon removal markets. He brings rigour to the MRV and feasibility dimensions of project development, and an understanding of the commercial realities that make projects bankable for investors.

At ENKOP, Zecharia leads the carbon markets practice, covering voluntary carbon, Article 6 mechanisms, biochar CDR, and nature based solutions development.

Howard Piwang is an energy systems specialist with over six years of experience in the design, modelling, and integration of decentralised renewable energy technologies across Sub-Saharan Africa. His work focuses on optimising mini grid efficiency, advancing techno economic modelling, and fostering partnerships that deliver impactful clean energy solutions.

At ENKOP, Howard provides technical leadership and advisory support on renewable energy, climate finance, and decarbonisation strategies across the portfolio. He leads techno economic modelling and feasibility analysis to support project development and investment decisions, and engages with development partners, DFIs, and government stakeholders to advance the clean energy transition.

Howard has led the design and deployment of hybrid bioenergy solar mini grids of up to 1 MW across Uganda, Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zambia. He has secured over five million euros in project financing from Innovate UK Energy Catalyst, EEP Africa, and private investors, and contributed to the formulation of Uganda's national biomass cookstove standard (DUS 761).

He holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stellenbosch University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution. He brings deep expertise in tools including PyPSA, Homer Pro, MATLAB Simulink, and the Energy Access Explorer.

Mercy Wanjiku is a communications professional with experience spanning stakeholder engagement, content development, and operational reporting across the education and manufacturing sectors. She brings a strong foundation in language, written communication, and audience-focused messaging, paired with practical expertise in coordinating cross functional teams and managing structured information flows.

At ENKOP, Mercy leads the organisation's external communications and brand presence. She is responsible for shaping how ENKOP's work in climate finance, clean energy, and sustainable development is communicated to partners, investors, government stakeholders, and the wider public. Her remit includes content strategy, partner communications, digital presence, and the development of thought leadership materials.

Prior to joining ENKOP, Mercy served as Standards and Quality Assurance Lead at Sana Industries, where she developed and rolled out standard operating procedures, delivered onboarding and refresher training, and produced monthly performance reports and dashboards for management. She also spent time as a Languages Teacher, designing structured learning programmes for over forty junior secondary learners and maintaining regular progress communication with parents and school leadership.

She holds a Bachelor of Education Arts (English and Literature), Second Class Honours Upper Division, from Zetech University. Her strengths include report writing, training delivery, stakeholder coordination, and the use of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools to support clear, consistent, and well structured communication.
